The Hip Hop Culture Center honored Michael Jackson by inducting the famous Apollo Theater tribute wall into the center. The 100 ft. long blue wall that was signed by thousands of fans from around the world was removed to become a part of the Apollo Theaters Archive. A portion of the tribute wall was donated to H2C2 and put on display for individuals to photograph and sign for the last time.
The tribute featured live performances by singers Carly Harley, Jonathan Lavonte and emcee Purple Haze. Sculptor/artist His Eminence the Metropolitan Archbishop George Michael Reeder Apollo and fine art illustrator Sharrief K. Bouchet unveiled their visual portrayal of Michael Jackson through one-of-a kind art pieces.
